The end of the world, Canarias, Spain
Poepe is the physical person behind the virtual Max el Belga. This is a big secret, so please don't tell anyone... He was born more than 50 years ago in Belgium. He started playing the washboard until the appearance of Jimi Hendrix. Now he plays dishwasher, guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and minigolf-on-ice. In the late 80s he moved over to Canarias. In the past he had several bands and did a lot of concerts. Now he spends his days finishing his house (the never ending story) with his family and friends, making his own instruments, "working" in his studio or writing this bio.
His musical influences are most recognizably from the blues, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayall and Frank Zappa, but also include all the musicians that ever played with them (that covers nearly everybody). He adores Free Ware, that's why the musical stuff he makes with it is also free to download. He has his own DIY copyright protection (which is about 2,25 meters high and answers to the name of "Tally Man").
The song was digitally recorded in Max's studio (at 220 meters above sea level!). Only the guitars are real, the rest is virtual.
Let's hope New Orleans soon arises, stronger and more inspiring than ever...
