Alex(xander) James - Live (I Want You To)

Beijing, China

Alex(xander) James

Itinerant road musician, back-up performer/side man. Keyboards, guitars, horns, vocals. Currently lives and works in China.

"For my contribution, I took the Katrina disaster all in and wanted to write a song that spoke of empathy and hope. I owe a lot to the folks of the Southern USA - especially with the musical influences of New Orleans having had such a profound impact on me. I also had the enjoyable privilege to collaborate with Keith Clemmons on his uniquely styled song "Atlantis," and certainly look forward to doing more with him again in the near future."

Live, Live, Live...

There's a rain comin' down,
The circus just left town,
'Cause no one was laughin at the clowns.

There are dogs in the dust,
And everything here is bust,
And the dreams we all shared have turned to rust...

I want you to live, live, live,
I want you to live, live and live.

There's a sun on the rise,
To wash away the lies,
And the songs from our hearts will fill the skies.

So don't you go – don't fade away,
You know that's not the way,
Hear the children's voices, hear what they say...
I want you to live, live, live,
I want you to live, live and live.

Although you're never near,
It's your voice I often hear,
'Cause lately I've been losing sleep,
Baby, just listen to you weep,
Baby, I need your love,
Got to have all your love...

Live....
